It is so adorable, but she definitely made it difficult for us to tell if she was a girl for sure. She gave up today though, I think getting sick of us prying, and finally gave us a good peek.

I love her little profile, you can tell she is already the most adorable baby ever.

This one is of her hand. Hopefully I don't swell too much more. :)

27 weeks. Since you decided to cross your legs for the last appointment they told us you were a girl, but that at the next appointment they wanted to check again to see if you would open your legs so we could see for sure. Today you finally uncrossed your little legs and allowed us to get a clear shot of you. :) You are definitely a girl!! I am so excited. All day yesterday your daddy kept calling you he and I kept telling him we are having a girl!! He said maybe it's a sign that it's actually a boy, and I told him not to say that, that he would jinx it. I am more than thrilled to finally see for sure that you are a girl. I can keep everything I have bought for you, and you are going to love it all! I am so excited to have a little girl!!

Today was also the day that they checked for gestational diabetes. They had me drink this fruit punch tasting glucose mixture before my appointment and then they took my blood. The stuff was so nasty and made me really nauseous this morning, and I couldn't eat anything before my appointment. You were loving that mix though, you were moving around like crazy, and have been all day. You are moving so much now days. I love it. It is so adorable to me when I can feel you kicking and moving around. Greatest part of being pregnant!!

I was bummed cuz the doctor looked quickly. We got to see your little bum and then he showed us that you were a girl, and that was it, but he didn't get a picture. I was really sad, but it was so cute to see you and see your little bum. I was just excited to get another ultrasound of you. We have just a few months left, and he said from here on out you will just be growing a lot. They said that you have a really strong heart beat and that you are growing at a good rate. I am so glad to know you are healthy, although I have never questioned just with how much you are moving around. We are so excited to see you grow the next few months. We love you Addison so much.

Love, Mommy

Dear little baby Addison,

You are weighing about 2 lbs now and are about 9 in long. You are so active, and getting the point now where I think you are pushing the limits to see how much you can stretch in there. :) I feel like I am constantly readjusting and trying to push you back. You are moving all the time!! I am up most of the night with you already, you are moving so much I can't sleep anymore. I am in my third trimester now and getting closer and closer to having you. We are so excited!! We have been getting everything planned for your nursery. We can't buy everything yet because with your dad applying to schools we do not know where we are going to be, so we are just planning for now and will get everything when we know where we will be. Don't worry we will have a little cradle for you all ready. :) We are so excited for you to come, and are getting so anxious now. We love you so much!!! Can't wait to see you again on Feb 6th for my next appointment. We will get another ultrasound of you. :)

January 2012

It's so weird at the beginning of a year to start saying 2012. It feels so awkward. For work the date is really important, especially for date of purchase so I got really good at saying 2012. I am just excited for what this year will bring for Sam and I. School so far is really good, and I think it will be a good last semester for us both. We talked about graduation in my class last Thursday during senior seminar, and they are already getting us ready for it. I can't believe that by the end of April Sam and I will both be graduates and done with school, well at least me. Sam is getting ready to turn in his applications for Law School. We are really praying that he gets into a good school, preferably in Arizona, but wherever we go we will be happy. We will be happy with our little newborn wherever we are. :) We had our appointment recently for the baby and found out that she is a little girl. We could not be more thrilled than we are. We are so excited for her. Sam and I really like the name Addison for her, so that is what she will be named, but we have no clue for a middle name. We have been thinking of a lot of names, but we shall see. I think we both want to see when she is born what she looks like her name should be. I cannot wait to have her. From her ultrasound, we saw how active and adorable she is. Just last night I swear she was doing flips in my stomach. Its becoming more and more difficult to sleep at night because she is most active at night. She is constantly kicking all the time. Sometimes I just sit there with my hand on my stomach and can feel her moving around and I am just beaming and laughing at how adorable it is. It is so amazing to have my little baby moving around in me and to be able to feel her. I love her so much, and cant wait to hold her. My brother Jace is serving his mission in Michigan. We give him updates on Addison all the time. He is so excited to be an Uncle along with the rest of my brothers, and we have promised him that he will receive lots of pictures and videos of her growing while he is away. I know it must be hard for him, but he has been so great about it, and is just excited with every ultrasound picture we send him. She is pretty stinking cute so I don't blame him. :) We are just loving life, she is already such a great blessing to Sam and I. We will continue to keep everyone up to date on how little Addison is doing, and cant wait for everyone to meet her. We love you all.

Sam and Piper

Dear little baby Addison,

I can finally call you by name!! Yesterday we found out that you are a little girl!! I am so excited, and absolutely loved seeing your ultrasound. You are so adorable and so active, my goodness. When the doctor put the thing on my stomach to start the ultrasound you were moving around a lot and then decided you didn't like the tool and kicked away from it. It was so crazy to feel you kick me and to see you do it on the screen at the same time. You do not like those ultrasounds, and are not too good about staying still to get a good shot either. You are always moving around. :) The third ultrasound we got of you is completely blurry because you would not stay still. I am happy that you are so active though and enjoying yourself so much. This ultrasound was the best one, we got to look at every inch of you and got a DVD of the whole thing. It was so amazing. I am so excited to hold you and see you. The ultrasound isn't too clear, but you are so cute I can tell. :) I am so excited to have a little girl and can't wait to buy little things for you now. I love you so much.

Love,
Mommy

Dear little baby Wang,

On Monday we find out what you are!! I cannot wait!! I have taken votes from everyone at work to see what they all think you are, and we shall see who is right.

I have 16 votes for you being a girl, and 12 votes for you being a boy. Monday they will all get something blue or pink. :)

Either way, I will be the happiest mom. I cannot wait to see you again and hopefully you will be sitting more still this time so we can tell for sure what you are and so we can get a good ultrasound picture of you. Preferrably one that isnt so blurry, like the last one. :) You're so active!! I haven't felt anymore real hard kicks, but I can feel you moving around all the time. It's so crazy. I am guessing you are going to love sports and being active, which I will love. Your dad would like you to be more in music and art, but either way you get to choose.

I have been feeling great today!! First time in a really long time. I have energy, I'm not feeling sick and I just want to eat everything in site.

Ill post again on Monday, love you.

Love, Mommy

Dear little baby Wang,

Today driving to work I had the best moment with you. It was one of those moments where I felt so close to you, and was just so happy to be your mom. I am getting so excited to have you here with us, to hold you, and kiss you. I can't wait to see you grow, and see the person that you will become. I am starting to feel more and more the feeling of being a mommy and knowing that I would do anything for you. I was listening to music and thinking about you being able to hear me singing to the music, and wondering what your personality will be like and what music you will like. I cannot wait to find out. I love you little baby Wang.

Love, Mommy

PS: If you don't like the music I do, I will be really disappointed. I am not too worried though, my stomach felt really fluttery so I am going to assume that you liked the music I was listening to. :)

Dear little baby Wang,

This is the first of many letters to come, to you. I have made a New Year's Resolution to write on our blog more, and to write about my pregnancy so you will be able to read it later. I want you to always know how much your parents love you, and the joy you have been in our lives, even from the very beginning. I love you so much already, and want you to have the best life possible. I want you to know that I will always be here to protect you, love you, laugh with you, cry with you and be your best friend. You have such a good dad. He loves you so much, and has already made great sacrifices to make a better life for you when you come. You have so many people who love you and want to spoil you the second you arrive, and already are. We all cannot wait to meet you.

Here is a little update on how you're growing. Yesterday for the first time I felt you kick. :) It was painful, you soccer kicked my rib, but I loved it and hope I get to feel you kicking around a lot more. :) My stomach has grown quite a bit this week, and it is supposed to grow even more in the weeks coming up. My pregnancy app says that you will double in size in the next couple weeks. I am already feeling so huge and I can't believe that I still have 5 more months of you growing. I hope I am just fat, and that you aren't a huge baby. If you are though, I am sure I will forgive you very quickly when you arrive. :) Next week on Monday the 9th we will find out officially what you are. I cannot wait, and am worried we might go broke after finding out. Your dad hasn't let me buy anything for you yet really, so I will be really excited to be able to buy clothes and things for you. I cannot wait.

I haven't been feeling great today. My medicine for the heartburn, and cramping in my stomach ran out while we were in Arizona so I wasn't feeling very good the last couple days, and I just barely got more so it's taking me a little while to get back to normal. I stayed home from work today since I wasn't feeling well, but I have been doing way better lately. My first trimester was a hard one I was really sick the whole time, and the only thing that comforted me was seeing your ultrasound at my appointments. It's mostly been rough having work and school at the same time, but I am going to be done working soon and this is my last semester of school, so I will get to enjoy just being a mommy. I cannot wait!! I love you so much, and I will write again soon.

Love, Mommy

Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I cannot believe it is 2012!!! I am so excited for this year, a lot will be happening. Sam and I will both be graduating this year in April, and in May we will be having our little one join our family. I cannot wait for a little family of three. I must say our child is already spoiled, little baby Wang got a few outfits, a stuffed animal elephant, a frame, bath floaties and a elephant blanket. It was such a fun Christmas, and just thinking about having next Christmas with our little baby Wang is so exciting. I cannot wait!! It will definitely be a great year!!

Christmas was so much fun this year!! Although our family was not complete without Jace, it was so nice to spend Christmas with my family. Since my parents have a dog and I am allergic, we spent Christmas this year at Bricklin's apartment. It worked perfect, and Brick even got a real tree to setup for our Christmas there. It was so sweet of him, and the tree was really beautiful. We had so much Christmas Eve spending time together having soup, and playing games despite the fact that I was not feeling very well. Christmas morning was so much fun, and the highlight of the morning was reading a letter from Jace to Sam and I. We all started getting really excited to talk to him later that day, and just were glad to hear that he was doing so well. As far as gifts go, we got a lot, Sam got a classical guitar from his parents and I got my diaper bag I was wanting. My mom and dad for Christmas gave Sam a best buy gift card so he decided to use it to get Apple TV. He absolutely loves it, and I must say it is pretty neat. My parents gave me money to shop for maternity clothes, and it was definitely needed. I got some really cute things to last throughout my whole pregnancy, and some of the items I even think I could wear after. I got Sam an external hard drive this year. Sounds lame, but he has been wanting one for a really long time, but there was no real need. With a baby on the way, and the potential of a lot of pictures to store I thought it might be a nice gift for him, and I was right. Sam did a great job picking out things for me as usual, and everything I got I absolutely love!! We had a great Christmas!! After breakfast and presents we went to my Aunt Camie's for Christmas dinner and got to talk to Jace for a while. It was so nice to hear his voice, and laugh. He is doing so well out there in Michigan, and has even had a baptism already. He does not like his companion at all, but he is being a real trooper and just laughing it all off. We could not have asked for a better Christmas. Next year will be even better with our little baby Wang.

New Year's Eve was so fun!! We went to Oregano's in Gilbert with all my family. The meal was really good, but the best part was the scookie!! It was so good and even though it made me really sick later on, it was so worth it. :) It was so hard for me to stay up until midnight but I actually made it and it was so worth it to get another kiss from Sam. I hope that everyone had as great of a New Year's as we did, and that it will be a great year for everyone!! Here are a few pictures from over the holiday week.

2011

I'm not going to waste any time talking about how pathetic it is that I haven't written in so long, and how bad of a blogger I really am. I am going to go straight into the good stuff. I always love after Christmas and before New Year's looking back on the past year and planning my New Year's Resolutions. It is so nice to reminisce on the past year of memories, and to make plans for the all the new memories I want to have.

January was a great month this year, I got my own car!! I absolutely love it, and love having the freedom of going places on the weekends. When looking for cars Sam and I really felt that it was important to find something that would work for when we have a baby. We decided that I wouldn't go with a stick-shift car which I really wanted, and that we wanted a small SUV so I wouldn't have to bend down so far to put the car seat in. I am expecting now and am so glad that we decided to get something that would work for the baby. :) I think it will be perfect and I absolutely love it.

February is always a fun month because of Valentine's Day. I always have loved Valentine's Day with Sam, he always makes it so special and wonderful. When Sam and I were first married we decided that we would take turns each Valentine's Day with planning the evening. This year was Sam's turn to plan. We went to Tsunami, an amazing sushi place that we both love, then went home and watched a movie together and had chocolate covered Strawberries (my favorite dessert!!). It was a simple, but great.

In March of this year we decided to go down to Arizona for St. Patrick's Day and see "Flogging Molly" in concert. Sam and I and our friend Matt went down and stayed with my brother Bricklin in his new apartment. It was such a fun trip and was so nice to see family and friends.

April of this year we went to a Fun concert!! I am a little obsessed with the band Fun and am so glad that we got to go!!

May is always such a nice month, because school is now out and we begin our summer break. This summer however Sam and I were in school and Sam had 18 credits. It was busy, but well worth it since Sam and I will both graduate in April of 2012. It was crazy getting out of school in April and then beginning again in May, but we did get a nice break for a couple weeks. :)

June is my birthday month, and Sam really made this birthday amazing. Two days before my birthday Sam took me on a date to Firehouse Subs and to see"Big Bad Voodoo Daddy". We had so much fun at that concert, and even got to meet the band after and got their signatures. The next day we had a party with all of our friends where we played games and watched "Water for Elephants" one of my new favorites. It was so much fun. My birthday gift from Sam was tickets to see "Journey" in concert. It was a fantastic concert, and so exciting!! It was one of the best
birthdays I have ever had. I love my Sammy!!

July was another perfect month for seeing "Fun" in concert in Vegas!! We went down to Vegas during our break in between summer semesters and stayed at our friend Gary's condo in St. George and went hiking, to the concert and enjoyed a nice weekend away. It was definitely needed.

In August we went to Sea World with Sam's family. My niece and nephew are old enough now that my In Laws thought Sea World would be fun. It was so much fun and we really had a blast. We got to go to Sea World for a day, and the beach another. It was short, but sweet!! The best part of the trip I would have to say was the giant pickle I ate before the Shamu show. It was delicious!! Everyone kept teasing that since I was craving pickles I had to be pregnant, little did we know......

September 9th of this year Sam and I found out that we were expecting! We started trying to have a baby, and I had gotten sick just after getting home from California for our Sea World trip and was really hoping that it meant I was pregnant. I took a test the morning of Sep 9th and it didn't read positive, so I thought. I called Sam to let him know that I wasn't pregnant and that whole day was so upset and really bummed at work. I came home that evening and went and showed the test to him. He looked at me and laughed and said, "Piper there are two lines, you are pregnant". Well in my defense the tests are very confusing. One line means you are not pregnant, and two lines, regardless if one is faint or if they are both dark, means you are pregnant. I had two lines, and am in deed pregnant. I was so ecstatic!!! The next day we decided to tell Sam's parents at dinner and the next day told my parents while skyping. We are so excited to be having a little baby, and the timing could not have been more perfect as we were celebrating our 4th Anniversary that month. Sam also turned 27 in September. We went to Outback with all of our friends on his birthday and then went back and hit a dinosaur pinata and played games. It was a busy, but exciting month for us!!

October of this year we went on our anniversary trip to Vegas. We had a short Fall Break this year and I had not been feeling good for a while with my pregnancy so we decided to do something small and easy. We went to see "The Lion King" play and it was amazing!! We really had a great time, and I was lucky to be feeling a little better for the trip. I am so glad that we decided to still go on a trip this year. Sam and I always told each other that we would do a trip for our anniversary regardless of how big or small, and I am so glad that we have stuck to that. Our anniversary has been so memorable and special each year, and I love the time we get to spend together.

November this year was filled with a lot of good tears. My little brother Jace went into the MTC November 18th and will be serving in the Lansing Michigan Mission. It was so wonderful to see how grown up, mature and prepared he was to serve. I am so proud of him, and miss him so much. For Thanksgiving I sent him a package with lots of fun treats for the MTC and some Chocolate Fluff so he would feel like he was at home. His letters so far have been amazing and I am so glad that he is doing so well so far.

Here we are at the end of December and about to begin a new year. Jace is now in Lansing and called on Christmas Day, that made our Christmas the best!! We had so much fun talking with him and with family playing games, enjoying a wonderful Christmas dinner, and just talking. Christmas has been amazing, and I look forward to spending New Year's with my family. Sam and I wish all of you a Happy New Year's and hope you had as wonderful of a year as we did, and that you feel as blessed as we do. We will keep everyone updated on baby news as we find out on the 9th of January what we are having. :)

Ridiculous

Wow crazy, I was just about a year ago that I last wrote on my blog. :) Woops, Ill catch up though, and post some pictures from the past year. :) Wait for it, wait for it....

Sammy

I haven't written on this blog in seriously forever, I am scared to look at the date of the last post, but tonight all of the sudden I remember that I had a blog and thought I would check it out. Every time I see our blog, it makes me feel so grateful for Sam. I think I just see all of things that represent Sam and i as a couple and pictures of us and I just feel so lucky that he is mine. I love him so much, and I don't deserve him, he is way too wonderful to me.

So next week we are taking a trip with some of our friends to Arizona, I can't wait. I haven't seen my family in 8 months. I miss them so much, I am so excited to go down. This bad weather is making me really anxious to get down there, I hate the snow so much. I was on the phones yesterday at work and I stood up because I was sick of sitting and it was snowing outside all of the sudden, randomly. I was so disappointed. I can't wait for winter to be over. I don't how many of you know but I recently got a job at Provo Craft doing technical support for all of the Cricut machines, so that is why I was on the phones. I started in December so pretty soon I will have been there for three months. I am loving it there. It is a really great job, I am really loving it. I have already gotten a Cuttlebug Machine, a Gypsy and four cartridges. It is perfect for me, especially owning a Cricut machine myself. I am working with two of my best friends, Ashley and Matt, so it was def meant to be. :) Sam and I are still chugging along in school right now. I am taking a Sports Medicine class, Biomechanics, and Chemistry. Sam is taking British Literature, Critical Analysis to Literature, and Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Sam is still working at Summerhays Music Center and doing very well in his job there. Overall Sam and I are doing very well. We are both excited for Summer so we can start doing more outdoors, but other than that we are really enjoying life. :) I hope everyone is surviving the winter, and that Summer will be just around the corner.

BOWdacious Bows

My sister in law Jenny makes the cutest hair bows for little girls. We celebrated Valentines day at my favorite restaurant, OUTBACK!! (I learned in one of my classes this semester that Outback is one of the worst restaurants for you, nothing could change my feelings for Outback though, I love that place!!!!) Sam is always so great at making every Valentines Day really special for me. He really spoils me too much. This year he got me my camera. I was seriously flipping out when he pulled it out and gave it to me. It is a D5000 Digital SLR Camera. It is amazing, the best camera I have ever used. I love it!!! I cannot wait to be able to use it more. Valentines Day was fantastic!!! One week after Valentines Day we got to go to the Billy Joel and Elton John concert. Sam and I were so excited, we have been waiting for a long time. We were supposed to be going in November, but Elton John got sick so they postponed it to Feb 19th. Sam and I are huge Billy Joel fans, we could not wait to go. Once Billy Joel walked out on the stage every started screaming, and I look over at Sam and he has tears running down his face. He has three people that he really wanted to see in concert, artists he has idolized since he was little...Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, and the Beach Boys. He had seen the Beach Boys a while ago, and when he saw Billy Joel he just got really emotional, he was so happy. I thought it was so cute, and I was really glad that we were able to go. He is a fantastic performer by the way. He talked in between songs, made jokes and even pulled out his guitar for a few songs. I did not even know he played the guitar. It was probably the best concert I have ever been to. I would go again in a heart beat. Now we just have to see Paul McCartney!! :) Yeah, we will be working on that one for a while. We also in Feb got to go see "fun.", they are the former "Format". I was so bummed when they decided to break up the "Format". My cousin Reagan and I have been huge fans since high school. The concert was great even though we were late, and they are an amazing band. We really have been working hard in school I promise, we have just been enjoying ourselves as well. :) Well we hope everyone is doing well and also having a great start to their year. We will write again soon, hopefully :)
We don't have pictures for the Billy Joel concert, we didn't want to take the chance that you couldn't have cameras in that concert. To start off the new year Sam decided it would be fun to get a really bad fever, so that New Years Eve he would be absolutely miserable. It worked. We had a lot of fun playing games with my family, but Sam soon after 10:00 retired to the couch to lay down. I felt so bad for him, he was bright red and burning up! He is such a trooper though, he stuck it out until after midnight, and after giving each other a New Years kiss, we quickly headed home to get him to bed. All in all, it was a good night. :) Hope that everyone had a great Christmas and New Years! We will post more later about our Christmas break. I cannot believe that it has already been that long, best two years ever!! We headed up to Salt Lake City this year for our anniversary. We couldn't take much time off with school so we decided this year that Salt Lake was far enough. It was so good to get away, and we didn't care where it was. We had a really nice hotel, and since it wasn't too far away we got to spend more time together, and less time traveling, it was nice. We relaxed, shopped, and best of all we went to the zoo!! For our anniversary dinner we planned on going to The Garden, but when we got there and realized that it was really a cafe type restaurant Sam decided to sneak over and surprise me with dinner at The Roof. The Roof is such a nice place, and then charge you a lot for it too. :) Sam actually starting texted our friend Ashley half way through dinner to ask her to find out how much it was, because he was so nervous. It ended up being less than we thought, which was good. It meant the world to me though that he didn't care; all he cared about was making the night really special for me. It was a great dinner, best desserts ever, and so nice to enjoy temple square from such a beautiful view. The weekend was fantastic. It was so nice to enjoy three days with my husband. Sam was promoted at work about three months ago and since then works everyday but Sunday, and when he isn't working in the morning we are at school. It gets crazy at times, and I was in real need of getting away. I cannot wait until we get to do it again!! 3 years, here we come!!

These are the little baby Tiger. I can't believe it. Such a big birthday. We had a great party for him. All of our friends helped out so much to make it the best birthday for Sam. He really had a good time, and loved all of his presents. He got a popcorn machine that he is pretty much obsessed with, he makes popcorn all the time. I am glad though, means he likes what I got him. His other present I think he was a little confused with at first. Me and all of our friends are taking him to Ohio next summer. He seemed confused, but once he got everything he was really excited about it. I can't wait for it next year. Anyways, it was a great day!! You would think that Sam and I have no lives for how little I write on here. I promise we are more exciting than our blog. I had my 22nd birthday on friday, the 12th. It was probably the best birthday ever. Sam went all out, and made it so special for me. First when i woke up in the morning he had gotten me some new work out clothes, some of my breakfast bars that i like, and a promise note saying that he would work out with me. He hates running with a passion, and I love it, so now he has promised to go running with me. So we got ready, and as we were walking out, he asked, "are you going to wear those shoes?" and I said, "yeah, what else would i wear?" and then he pulled out the shoes!! I have been dying over these running shoes for MONTHS!! I seriously have been obsessed with them. They are the cutest, lightest, nicest running shoes I have ever seen, and of course they were way expensive. He got them for me, and I was so freakin excited!! I love them so much!! So we went on a nice walk together. After the walk, we went out to lunch at my favorite place, Rubio's. Sam has seemed to never find something there he likes, but I think this visit he liked what he got. I love their food, it is so good, and it was the best present to take me there, when i know he hates it. After lunch we went up Provo Canyon to Bridal Veil Falls. Sadly I have lived in Utah for 2 years now, and never been there. Finally I got to go, and it was so fun. We hiked up to the furthest point you can go, and sat at the falls, it was so nice. It is absolutely gorgeous up there, and a nice fun hike up too. After the hike, we went and saw "Up", the cutest movie ever. After the movie we went to Olive Garden, and had the best dinner, where Sam gave me my pearl earrings. When we were in Arizona like 6 months ago i lost one of my pearl earrings, and was really upset about it because he gave them to me when he proposed. It was so sweet, and nice to get some new ones, and he even got bigger ones. I love them. After dinner we went home and he kept saying that he had more planned, but couldn't tell me. When we got home all of our friends were there and surprised me. It was a huge surprise, I had no clue that he would plan that. It was funny because I walked into the house singing, and they were all in there hearing me until I came in the living room. :) Matt, Jason, Blake, Steve and Ash all came over and we had a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun, and like I said, probably the best birthday ever. Sam did so much, and I so appreciated it. It was so sweet and such a great day. Thanks Ash, Jason, Matt, Blake and Steve, you guys are the greatest!! Thanks Sam, you are possibly the greatest husband ever. We came home tonight and our fish Holly was dead. Both eyes gone, and totally eaten. I am so sad for our fish, and I think mine is next. Now my fish, Piper, is the smallest fish in the tank. I am still convinced that it is Bricklin that is killing our fish, Sam still insists that anyone of them could have done it. I hope you got the idea that we had a death in the family...three of our fish. You know how sometimes people send you money in the event of someone passing away....feel free!! :) So I don't think I ever posted anything about our fish tank, but we got a new one about 2 months ago. The old one was damaged when our window well leaked and soaked into the stand. It was looking pretty bad anyways, but with the water damage it was about to collapse at any moment. We immediately had to go out a buy a new one, and wow it is freaking nice. We love it, and because we love it we got really excited to buy some more fish. We bought 6 new fish, and named them holly, bricklin, gil, moe, david bowie, murray, and dwight. Well it all started with Gil, he was so awesome, I named him so I was of course very attached, and well he got sick. We came home from work one day to find him sick on the bottom of the tank, with both eyes missing. It was not until then that I found out from Sam that our fish named bricklin is called a malawi eye biter fish, NICE!! HE ATE GIL's EYES!! I still insist that it was him. Next came ashley (a fish that we already had) she got sick and died, luckily we found her right away and got her out of the tank before she could be eaten. Next came Sam the 2nd, (another fish we already had, the 2nd because Sam the 1st was bite in half) he got very sick and while we did everything we could to nurse him back to health we came home last night and he was sick on the bottom of the tank with one eye missing. Sam really thought that he would make it and become our pirate fish, but no sooner than an hour later he was dead, poor sam. All three lived such good lives and made memories for Sam and I that could never be taken away. May they RIP!!

Btw...we love our fish but not that much, we really are not beaten up over it, but still money would nice.

The Old Tank

The New and Improved TANK!!! We feel extremely busy, but we are really loving it. This semester our classes are so much fun. We are taking business, stress management, and geology. We love business, it is so interesting and you learn really great things that everyone should know. Geology is great, and a lot of fun. I have always found it interesting because my Grandpa is really into it and always taught me different things he had learned, but Sam loves it especially. I thought it was really funny when we dating and he showed me his rock collection, he was really excited to show me and he is so proud of his rocks. :) Stress Management is interesting...hehe...it has turned into a support group more than anything, but I am learning a lot, and hoping that what I do learn will help me, I stress way too much. My parents both had surgery in Jan, and are doing great. We have been praying for a long time that my parents would heal quickly, and 7 years later we are wondering when our prayers would be answered, FINALLY!! This doctor saw my parents and was confident that all the things they were struggling with he would be able to fix. We are just praying now that everything continues to work right, and that they will heal quickly from their surgeries. I feel so lucky to have such wonderful parents and I am so glad that they are doing well. Sam this year for Valentines day was amazing. Even up until day of I had no clue what he was doing, which never happens, and when he gave me his present I was so impressed. He got me a 2 hour spa package!! I went this past weekend, and it was incredible. I got to relax in the jacuzzi, and then the sauna, and then enjoy a full hour massage. I was floating on clouds on Saturday, I was so affectionate to Sam all day because I was so grateful that he thought hard about what I would like, and it was perfect. I got him a year subscription to National Geographic, and it was a success, he loved it. He keeps asking when the next months issue will come, he is so cute. A week after Valentines day Sams Nanny came to visit, she is Dave's mom. I was so excited to meet her because I hadn't, up until then, met anyone from his family. We had so much fun while she was here, Jenny and the kids came up to visit, so we did a lot of girls stuff. I love when Jenny comes to visit, I love having a sister now!! We did a lot, and all of us were worn down by the end of the week, but it was a lot of fun, and it was so great that Nanny got to come out and visit. Now...I know, there is actually more...now Sams friend Drew has moved down to Utah and is trying to interview with my boss for a job teaching at our school. I am so excited, and really hope that he gets the job. We are having fun with him right now, he is awesome!! Anyways, lots of stuff, one week after another, but we are loving life and having lots of fun living it.

Christmas Break

Well things have slowed down, and finally I am able to post. Christmas break was great, Sam and I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas with his family, it was a lot of fun. I wasn't used to having a small Christmas, but it was nice. Sam and I opened our presents to each other downstairs, and then joined the family upstairs to open the rest, and have Christmas dinner. I enjoyed spending that time with Sam. He got me some real great gifts, I especially love my new Nestle Recipe book, it has the yummiest recipes. Anyways, after Christmas we drove down to Arizona and spend the rest of the holiday with my family. I always love seeing my family, I miss them so much. We took pictures us kids and framed some for my parents for their Christmas present, they loved it, and the pictures turned out real cute. I have a really great family, all my aunts and cousins, everyone is so fun, we really enjoy spending time down there. We were expecting to go back down after returning to Utah a week later for my cousin Jarom's wedding, but some unexpected problems arouse. Holly and Ashley came down with us, and we stopped in Vegas for a night to get some rest, and leave early the next morning. We got real early starting to elave, and the car wouldn't move. Sam was in drive, and pushing on the gas, and we weren't moving forward. It was horrible, the car had to be towed and we ended up being stranded in Vegas all weekend waiting for the car to be repaired. It ended up being the transmission...nice! We finally made it back though luckily. 2009 has been a crazy year so far for us all, but we are excited for the new year, and the new semester. Sam and I are taking Intro to Business, Stress Management, and Geology. We really like them so far, their seem to be some fun projects we will get to do. It should be a good semester for Sam because he wanted to take Business to see if it is something he would like to go into, it would be great if this helped him decide what he wants to do, ;) Well we hope that everyone had a great Christmas, and a wonderful New Year!!

Christmas Party

This past friday night we had our Christmas Party with our friends. It was a lot of fun getting together, we don't get to do that very often with everyone being busy with school and work!! We had a nice dinner, I made ham and scalloped potatoes, and then ashley brought candy canes and hot chocolate for dessert. I love having everyone together, and giving gifts to each other. We have the greatest friends! Ashley got me a plug in scentsy, which i was really excited about because I had been saying I wanted one, now I have one for our bathroom. Landon got Sam a shirt that says Vandalay Industries, he is so funny. Holly and Brian were really busy this year with other parties, and finals so we missed them at the party, but there is always next year!! We have our work party this Saturday at our house, and I am really excited for everyone to come, and have fun. Parties and Christmas are the greatest!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Our cheesy Christmas smiles!! I told them that Santa Claus was coming to town

I even believed myself, and got a little too excited!!

I tried working the timer on our camera, it obviously didn't work. Whenever he is watching a movie, or tv or anything and gets really into it, he turns his head and starts to watch it out of one eye. It is so weird, and it always creeps me out when I catch him doing it. I guess he doesn't realize that he is doing it, but seriously whenever I see it, it really creeps me out and I always have to tell him to just look at the screen like a normal person. It is so weird, he is like looking at me, but watching the movie. :) I have never seen anyone watch a movie like that, just another thing that makes Sam....well Sam!

My impulse buy!!

For the past 3 years I have had sitting in my garage in Arizona, and now here in Utah a machine I bought when I was 17 years old. I was just barely starting my job, had some money and saw an ad on tv for a buns and thigh roller. I don't know if the commercial was just amazing, or if it was my feeling of accomplishment being a big girl or what, but I bought it right there. I received it in the mail, and it has been in the box it came in for 3 years...until now! It was sitting in the garage just in the way, and still disassembled when Sam ran over it with his car and decided that it needed to get out. He set it up for me last night, it was covered in dust, and the rubber bands look like they are going to bust at any moment. It was so hilarious just laughing and thinking how dumb I was for buying it, hey I was 17. Just three easy payments of $20. Anyways Sam got it all set up, and we all tried it out, and man could we feel the burn. :) Best piece of machinery I have ever purchased in my life. Now instead of being in the way in the garage, it is in the way in our apartment. I wouldn't suggest it, although maybe one day you will want one, and I will have one that I am trying to get rid of......call me!!

Tagged!!

I was tagged!! I know that everyone has been dying to see our pictures, and find out how it all went!! Things have been crazy around here, with school, work, sickness, and Sams dad breaking his leg. Yes Sams dad broke his leg, he was painting two sundays ago, fell from his ladder and broke his femur bone. We were all so scared, and even now I think they are finding that the bone is healing quickly, but that there is so some bone growing in the muscle. Hopefully they figure that out, and find a way to get rid of that without causing any problems. He is doing well though, and we are so grateful that he is healing so well. Well I am ready to post now about our amazingly fun trip!! Sam and I have been married now for one year, and I cannot even believe that it has gone by that fast. We have had an incredible year; I look back, and am so happy that we are married and that I now get to share every moment of life with the most wonderful and amazing man I have ever met. If you have read any of our earlier posts you will know that Sam and I didnt have the easiest dating ever, but I think it really made us strong, and we are more than happy to be together!! We went to Las Vegas for our anniversary trip. I really wanted to go to San Francisco, but we both decided that with school we should just take a smaller, shorter trip, and I am glad we did, and we still had a really great time. We loved the time we got to just relax, and do nothing but have fun, and be together, it was fantastic! We did a lot of walking down the strip and laughing at all the crazy people walking along side you. There were guys asking if they could take pictures for us, we were like, yeah I am going to let you take my nice camera, I really trust you when I dont know you and you are asking if you can take our picture!! :) We went and saw the Phatom play, and it was good. Sam and I had to laugh at some places, because it was a little cheesy. They cut out a lot of stuff, and sometimes it was just comical because if it were your first time seeing the play you really would have no clue what is going on. The actors were great though, and their voices were incredible, I was so glad Sam surprised me with that. I love plays!! The sunday that we were there was our actual anniversary, and Sam and I enjoyed relaxing in our hotel, and watching our wedding video, every time i watch that I get sad and wish that we could get married again!! :) I just thought that our wedding was so much fun, and that it was absolutely bautiful!! My aunts, grandma and Mom did an amazing job. My mom was so dedicated to making it exactly what I wanted, and well done. We loved everything about it, so much that I wish I could do it all again!! Anyways Las Vegas was defintely fun, and we had a great time, but with all the smoke and dirty girls I think both of us were a little relieved once we reached Utah again! Gotta love Las Vegas!!

Sam

Sam's Birthday is on Friday, and I have been working on stuff for his birthday for months now. Everyone chipped in this year and got him the new 160 GB Ipod, he was so excited when he opened it (we gave it to him early so that he can get it ready to take this week to Vegas)!! Thank you to everyone who chipped in, he absolutely loves it! We were really lucky that we got one, they have stopped making the 160 GB Ipod, I looked everywhere for one, we got the last one as far as I know in Utah County! Lucky us!! Anyways he loves it, and I am really glad, he deserves a great birthday :) I am so grateful for Sam, he really is such a great husband. Even on the days when I feel my worst and feel like no matter what I do I still look completely disgusting he is always there to tell me how much he loves me, and how pretty I am. He is such a great husband, I really am so lucky to have him in my life! September 21st is our 1 year anniversary, and we are going to Las Vegas to celebrate!! I cannot wait, we definitely need a vacation! Sam has been great about trying to make it really special. When we were getting married we registered for this bedding that I absolutely loved, it was our colors and exactly what I was looking for our bedroom set. Unfortunetely we didn't get any bedding, we just ended up using my bed from home, and my old bedding. It is a full size bed, it was miserable sleeping on that for a whole year, we thought it would be temporary. We finally got a new QUEEN bed, and for one of our anniversary presents Sam went and got that bedding for me, I am so excited to have it. I really love it, and I love having a bigger bed. Since I got the bedding, I am getting really excited about decorating, and making our room really cute. If anyone has an fun ideas for things to decorate let me know. I will let you guys know how our trip goes, I cannot wait.

A Fun 3 Weeks

Well things have been a little busy, and crazy the past few weeks, we have had a lot going on, so I haven't been great about posting anything. My cousin Reagan and her husband Mikey were here visiting for about a month, they stayed with us for a while. We went up to Salt Lake with them one weekend, and also went up another weekend for a little family reunion with my Dad's side of the family. My grandparents, aunt amy, and uncle kevin came all the way from Arizona for that so it was really good to see them!! My sister in law Jenny called on friday of last week and said that her water broke, and all of us hurried and packed and left within an hour or so for Vegas. We were all so excited for Jenny, and to see the baby. Hannah was born that night at 10:00 on our way down to Vegas, luckily the hospital was ok with us seeing her when we got there even though it was past visiting hours. It was such a fun weekend, and Hannah is absolutetly adorable. We got to play a lot with Preston, and see Jenny and Brad. I only wish that we had to stay longer to help out Jenny and Brad, and see the babies more. Sam and I have the cutiest nephew and niece, hope no one is jealous, yet I completely understand if you are. I couldn't fully enjoy our time down there because I was sick with an infection, I went to the doctor once we got back to vegas, and man the medicine he gave me was crazy. The past two days have been absolutely miserable for me. The medicine is called Cipro, if a doctor prescribes it to you, see if there is something else. :) I had a constant high fever for two days straight that really never broke, and I didnt keep down a single meal that I ate, I couldnt even keep down sips of water, it was insane. There were times that I would look at Sam, and we would just both have a look of like -is this a joke or what?- My doctor told me to stop taking that medicine, and luckily now I am feeling much better, now every food sounds good, and I am starving! Thank goodness for wonderful husbands and friends who are there to take care of you!!

When Harry Met Sally

I love hearing people's stories of how they met, and how they knew they were right for each other. I used to always ask my mom how will I know if he is the right one, and EVERYONE always says, you will just know! When Sam and I met we clicked from the start, and immediately he became my best friend. We met through my wonderful cousin Daniel, they served a mission together in Florida, and once Sam decided on going to UVSC after his mission, he asked Daniel to be his roommate. In December of 2007 my cousin Reagan and I moved to Utah, feeling for whatever reason that it was the right thing for us, how funny because we both met our husbands. Reagan, Daniel and I drove to Utah a few days after Christmas, and arrived really late. We dropped Daniel off, and that is when I met Sam for the first time. I remember Daniel asking Sam if he remembered either of us from pictures on the mission. Sam said he remembered a really awkward, and dorky picture of me. I didn't find out until later that Sam thought I was cute in the picture, but way too young for him, I was only 17 in the picture. Our first day in Utah was New Years Eve, and I was going to be alone because Reagan was ditching me and going to be with family friends for the weekend. Sam was kind enough to ask me to his party he was throwing at a cabin in Sundance, and it was a lot of fun, that is where it all began. Everyday after that Sam and I spent together, hanging out, and getting to know each other. I loved everything about him, he was so easy to get along with, he made me laugh, and he cared a lot about me. From the beginning I was a big brat though, and I am still amazed to this day that he stuck with me through everything. At the time had a missionary out that I was planning on seeing when he got back. I explained everything to Sam from the start, but that didn't make it any easier. I was falling hard for Sam more and more, and at the same time stopping myself from fully being with him, and from letting anyone know how I felt. This so called "friendship" that was really a relationship lasted for about 6 months, and it came time for my missionary to come home, and for me to make a huge decision. Just before the missionary got home Sam talked me about how he felt, and dropped a really big bomb on me. He said that while he was praying about whether he should break up with me, and let me see how things would go with this other guy, he felt strongly that he was supposed to propose to me, WOAH!!! So on my birthday Sam did a lot for me, and really made it a great birthday. That evening he took me to the Salt Lake Temple, and told me how he felt about me, and that it was really hard for him to propose to me when he didn't know for sure how I felt about him, and this other guy. I had prayed really hard about what to do, and while I wanted to say yes to Sam with all my heart, I knew that I needed to say no. It was really hard for me to say no to the man I loved, and not even really know why I was saying no, only that the Lord wanted me to. Sam and I sat there and talked for a while, I was crying a lot, and after I started to calm down he informed me that my cousin was taping the whole thing.....awkward!! As we were leaving Sam handed me the ring, and said he wanted me to keep it while I was figuring things out, and inside was a scripture that went along the lines of saying.."this is not the end,..and God is a God of miracles", he had been carrying that around with him all week along with the ring. Sam and I broke up that night, and he told me that he wouldn't call me, or see me because I needed my space, and time to figure things out. When I walked inside my apartment the missionary was there, and I was surprised that night with a kiss, and it was freaking disgusting!! That hit things off bad, but I still dated this guy for about a week, and everyone kept telling me that I needed to give it more time, but I knew what I wanted. It was hard to not talk to Sam or see him, I wanted to, but he wouldn't take my calls because he felt that he shouldn't. I was absolutely miserable that whole week, there were even a few times that Sam came over after this guy left, kind of funny. I would suddenly get tired, but then once he left and Sam wanted to come over I had tons of energy again, weird. :) I hope that this story is not boring anyone, or depressing anyone that I was wanting to be with Sam, but dating another guy. At least you all know how it ends so that you don't need to stress about me making the wrong decision, I promise I made the right one!! So to continue, and finish the story, things worked out, and Sam and I got back together. Sam talked to my dad again, and asked for my hand in marriage, and my dad said yes as long as he waited a little while. The next day, Sam proposed to me again on the swing in his back yard, and it was really sweet. (It was all perfect, until my friend Ashley walked outside, and then awkwardly walked back in once she realized what she had interrupted, hehe, we love you Ash!!) Sam and I were engaged on June 30, 2007, and then married on September 21, 2007!! We were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple, and it was by far the happiest day of my life, even so much that I constantly ask Sam if we can do it again. There was nothing I would have changed about our wedding, and Sam looked absolutely amazing, seriously everyone commented on how cool his tux and shoes were! We spent our honeymoon in San Diego in a condo on the beach, and went to Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, and Six Flags. It was so much fun, and we really enjoyed that time just him and I!! We have been married for about 10 months now, and we are doing great, couldn't be happer!! I would recommend marriage to anyone, it is such a blast, especially if you are married to your best friend!!

This was New Years Eve, I obviously didn't make to midnight, and the boys were mean to me!!
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5224614948194492546" style="FLOAT: left; I find myself searching for entertainment, then staring at the ceiling, then watching a fish in my aquarium swimming side to side in a hypnotic sort of way. While looking at the work my wife has done with our blog I decided I should put forth an effort to "blog" for my first time ever. I decided to write about the very thing I was reading tonight. When it's late and it is quiet and I am alone I like to read about the presidential candidates. I have two guidelines when deciding what to read. Is the source credible and reliable? And is it as unbiased as a thing like politics can be? With these two criteria I find very few sources. The only outside party I can find is good ole' reliable wikipedia.com. Or I get my info straight from the horse's mouth.(No I don't mean the one that looks like a horse... besides Hilary is out of the running anyways.) I've kept most of my opinions to myself for the most part (which is very unlike me to do) but I've only done it because people go crazy with politics. It's good to be passionate about something but a line must be drawn somewhere. Forcing your beliefs on someone is just plain jacked up! Take the advice that Bruce R. McConkie has in the book "Mormon Doctrine" under "Gospel Hobbbies". Basically it says that we should not focus on one commandment or doctrine and be obsessive with that one thing. It will destroy your mind and lead you to judge others and ruin any humility you may have once had. Can politics be a gospel hobby? I think so. Especially when all your efforts are focused on turning someone's opinion because you think it is wrong or even concentrating on nothing but abortion and gay rights. Have opinions and morals and hold strong to them but have courtesy. We live in a free country where everyone can have their own beliefs and vote anyway they wish. I think its wrong to attempt to take that freedom away on a personal level. Not only that but we should not be so narrow minded and think that abortion and homosexual marriages are the only two issues out there. Theres happens to be many many other issues that will affect you more than those two things will. Do I personally want those things to come to pass? No. I don't. I think it probably will at some point but that does not mean I am a supporter of it. I will never admit to being a Republican or Democrat or any other party.(Which believe it or not people.... theres many other parties out there!!!) I stand by George Washington. Listen to what he has to say about political parties.....

"The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism."

or

"However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion."

So for anyone who may be trying to sway my vote to Republican or Democrat, or anyone who may even think I'm a Republican or Democrat..... I say to you.... I am neither. I am me and I will vote accordingly.

While I'm on the subject.... what is a Patriot? To say that it is someone who undyingly supports is government is true but the true American definition of a Patriot is one who fights for his freedom and beliefs. Our founding father whom we lovingly call Patriots did just that. An American patriot is NOT somebody who supports his government. If that's what the American definition of a patriot were, we would not have been calling George Washington, Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, James Madison, Thomas Payne, John Hancock and all the rest of them "patriots" would we? Those true patriots were all men who openly advocated revolt against THEIR government. That's what made them American patriots in the first place. A patriot is not someone who stands at a parade waving a miniature American flag. It is someone who stands up against tyriannical force and says I will not stand for this! We don't need to fight against eachother. Don't yell at your neighbor because he supports McCain and you do not. If you truly want to be a Patriot then stand up against your government. I am NOT suggesting anarchy. I am suggesting nonviolent ways to stand up for what you believe in. I hope my words and words of people I have quoted do not get distorted. I believe in my country. It is a chosen land. I believe God saved this land to bring forth freedom. I believe our founding fathers were inspired individuals. In the Book of Mormon it is continuously prophesied that this is a chosen land but it is everyone of us on an individual basis that must make it a chosen country.

And lastly... Have a sense of humor people!!! Not everything with government needs to be serious!!!

Footloose

Last night we all went and saw the play Footloose at Scera Theatre, and it was really fun. We got dinner, brought blankets, and had a picnic dinner out on the lawn before the play. We had some strange neighbors that made the play so much more fun, and there were many times during the play that Ashley, Amber and myself were having a hard time holding back the laughs. In the play they sing a song "Almost Paradise", and the one girl had to close her eyes while they were singing to each other, I guess she hasn't ever seen kissing, and to her it was highly disgusting. Towards the end though the main characters Ren and the Reverend are discussing the dance they want to put on, and the Reverend says he wants to be left alone, and Ren says, Sir you already are alone. Right after that the girl said "Wow there is a lot of smart talk in this show", that was the point where us three girls lost it, and Sam had to try to quiet us down. It was hilarious how weird, and awkward these girls were, but I must say they brought a lot more humor to the play than we were expecting, so thank you strange awkward girls. The play was good though, and all of us had a really good time together. :)

Trying New Things

Well this is a first attempt at doing a blog post, and this is all new to Sam and I, but we are up for trying new things!! Sam is morally against blogs with every fiber of his being... He says " If someone wants to know what I'm up to they can call me." But regardless of his harsh feelings we are making one. I personally think blogs are fun, and while we may be the people that never update their page, we promise to try our hardest. Sam and I are doing great, and love being married, it is so much fun! We have been married for nearly 10 months now, and I am amazed at how time has flown by so fast. It has been an amazing 10 months so far, and I couldn't have picked anyone better for me than Sam. With his singing in the car, and hilarious personality and sense of humor I realize more and more everyday how grateful I am that he picked me to be his wife. Sam is still working at Summerhays Music Center, and lucky for us I landed a job at the Utah School of Music which is in the basement of Summerhays, so I get to see Sam all day. It is extremely convenient since we only have one car, but most of all I love being around him all day. We are living in Alpine right now with Sam's parents, and while that might sound scary to most, we absolutely love it. We have the entire basement to ourselves, rent free, and Sams parents are the best landlords anyone could ask for. They cook food for us a lot, and let us hang out with them when we feel too lame to go out and do anything. Sam and i will start school again in the fall, and are trying to see if we can get most of our classes together again. We had all the same classes last semester so that we only had to get one set of books, and so we could study together, and we really enjoyed it. Hopefully it works out again this fall. We have had a good summer so far, we have been down to Arizona to see my family a couple of times, I even got to go down for my birthday on the 12th of June, and i cannot tell you how much I enjoyed that time. I miss my family like crazy!! My Aunt Camie just came to visit, we really loved having them here, and now my cousin Reagan and her husband Mikey are visiting us before they move out to South Carolina. Tonight we are being treated to the play Footloose at Scera theatre. Mikey and Reagan will be joining us, along with our really good friends Ashley and Amber, it should be really fun. Hope everyone else is enjoying their summer as much as we are!
